Invertebrates in Education and Conservation Conference

IECC brings together professionals from a wide variety of zoological, exhibit design, and educational backgrounds to share their experiences in a rich biological setting.

IECC includes four days of paper presentations, specialty workshops and field trips. The Conference takes place in Tucson, AZ at the approximate time of the local monsoon season, allowing participants the opportunity to experience Southern Arizona’s unique diversity and ecology.

Topics covered at IECC include, but are not limited to:

  • Terrestrial, freshwater and marine invertebrate husbandry
  • Educational programs using invertebrates
  • Insect zoos, butterfly houses and other invertebrate exhibitions
  • Invertebrate conservation programs
  • Professional development
  • Administrative & regulatory issues (USDA, USFW, etc)

2026 Conference Info

The 2026 Invertebrates in Education and Conservation Conference will be held in person August 19-22 at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tucson, AZ and broadcast for virtual participants worldwide. The room rate is $129/night, and the resort fee has been waived for those reserving rooms in our room block. Please use this link to book your reservations in our room block.
